Let Me Win, But If I Can Not Win, Let Me Be Brave In The Attempt.

The Special Olympics Mission

Our mission is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities by giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympic athletes and the community.

They have competed at many competitions across the country and have always left with a huge ovation from every crowd that they perform in front of. Mary has been a huge asset for Kentucky Elite.

Our Volunteer Coaches

Tara and Amanda are our Volunteer coaches this year.  They are both Psychology graduate students at the university of Kentucky.  They have been a tremendous blessing to our Coaches, Athletes and Parents.

Team Mom

Rita is our Team Mom.  Rita is not just our everything behind the scenes, she is also a mother of one of our athletes.  The coaches would not be able to spend the time and energy needed to train our athletes without our Team Mom.  Rita is instrumental in ensuring that all the details are covered, uniforms are ordered and maintained, all athletes are taken care of, and much more.  We can not say enough about Rita and what she means to our team and to our parents.
